Through all their hard work, came obstacles and fallbacks. Our family's journey included the need for working than one job at a time, a lay off after over a decade on the job, losing a home, and other numerous stressful situations that made my parents' dream very difficult. No one approached my parents with solutions or helped them create a financial plan that would show them how to deal with obstacles even before they may happen. This is what compelled me to pursue financial planning.
